Back with a bang!

Courtsey Cricinfo:

Two shots that followed set the stomachs churning – a classical straight drive off the front foot, with a high elbow, minimum follow through and slight nod of the head a few moments after bat struck ball; and a cheeky paddle-sweep off Vaas when he read the line and beat the fielder to perfection. Fifty off 50 balls, momentum seized, bowlers hassled, fielders guessing, captain experimenting, crowd vocal … welcome to Tendulkar territory.

And I am hooked to cricket, once again. Cricket had not been the same without Tendulkar…

    😦 after sampras i stopped watching tennis. now slowly F1 is also receding into the background because of schumi’s lack of dominance. There is always the need for one individual to capture our attention to get us hooked onto the sport. All this team-game stuff(team above self) though true isnt what drives me towards cricket. It is individual brilliance that arrests my minds. and most probably a lot more minds too

    @sreejith
    individual brilliance arrests the spectators mind, but if you are playing i think team is as important as self.. maybe team is more important.. remember CSI and all those matches where you were the last guy standing and then you shouted at us.. 😀

    sreejith,
    will that apology bring back the sleep i lost! 😦 😦
    by the way, had it not been for you and majjj shouting all the way, we would have been half the team! 🙂 remember, all your shouts just resulted in better co-ordination.. after all CS is a team game.. 😀 is this not where we started?
